Our journey
Inception Since 2008
Formerly named Buildex Global. Focused on boutique projects, such as art installations, exhibition designs and urban art involvement.
Emerged in 2013
Evolved as Metrics Global in 2013 and active in the property development sector, specifically designing for showhouse and property galleries, with a good understanding of market needs and requirements.
2016
Grew to a team of 20, building a strong reputation in property development & show homes, and expanded to create hotel designs in the hospitality industry.
2017
Achieved a winning streak at IPAX 2017-2018, earning a total of five awards. Secured wins in three different categories, with 3 Five Star awards and 2 World’s Best nominations.
Demonstrated notable success in the company's growth, receiving the Outstanding SME Award at the SME Awards 2017.
2018
The Le Fonti Awards was held in Hong Kong, fostering strong relationships with global industry partners, including Alexander Wong Architects Limited.
The first Beach Clean-Up was held on 22nd September 2018, in collaboration with Reef Check and multiple government bodies, at Pantai Morib, Pantai Pemis and Pantai Minyak Beku Batu Pahat concurrently.
Following the success at the SME Awards 2017, Metrics Global achieved further recognition as an Emerging SME winner at the Golden Bull Awards 2018.
Won the company’s first Hospitality Design award for Impiana Hotels & Resorts at IPAX 2018-2019, securing a total of three awards.
2019
As a continuation of the Beach Clean-Up, Building Lives was initiated together with Jabatan Perhutanan at SJK(C) Batu 9 Cheras.
Recognised with the 'Metropolitan Trusted Brand Award 2019' by ACG Media, a prominent name in the Interior Design and Built Environment industry.
Multiple wins at IPAX 2019-2020, receiving awards for 3 categories including Five Stars award for show homes.
2020
Metrics Global continued to strive despite the global pandemic, winning again at the Golden Bull Awards 2020.
Expanded into the Ipoh market with M Commune, a vibrant initiative aimed at building a thriving design community in the area to attract creative individuals to enrich Ipoh’s creative landscape.
Achieved three awards at IPAX 2020-2021, including recognition in Hospitality Design for Dorsett Hospitality International.
2023
As our 10th year milestone, we received the Deca-Laurel Award for outstanding commitment and continuous excellence in the field of design.
Expanded booth design to Shanghai, Furniture China 2023.
2024
Resumed participation for IPAX that was held in Bangkok in May, winning 3 Five Star awards and 2 World’s Best nominations.
Expanded booth design services to Vietnam, HAWA 2024.
Continuously striving to make a positive impact on the community through initiatives like the Beach Clean-Up at Pantai Morib and Pantai Remis in mid-2024, engaging university students and leading industry corporations.

Winning Best Residential Renovation/Redevelopment – Asia Pacific at the International Property Awards held in The Savoy, London
Winning 3 awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2025–2026 (2x regional nominations)
