With such background and strategic location, the team came up with a thorough staying experience concept within the hotel, with a blend of the company’s classical background, and the vicinity of the location, A Royal Classical Blend – the concept of the entire hotel common area is developed.

The design theme revolves around the conventional mature / serious material tones - like walnut, stones, & steel, with an addition of majestic Lapis Lazuli blue tones, generating impression of sheer royal elegance. Leading the guests from the main lobby, to Hotel Reception and the Apartment Reception, with a lift designed intimately leading to Mezzanine Floor where the business events held, and a casual dining and lounge – the Table Talk, the entire 2 levels of the hotel common area express its exclusivity and the brand of Dorsett well.

Upon entering the lobby, guests are greeted by a huge hand painted wall – named after “A Translation of Alabaster”. It is a fully hand painted feature wall which translates the beautiful grains of stone – Alabaster, on top of it is cladded with curvaceous thin steel strips in gold chrome finished that lit up the space. Paneled in vertical grids, the designer is conveying the sincerity of the passion of hospitality and services from the hotel to the guests. Taking the advantage of high ceiling at 8 metres, suspended light tubes with gold chrome ceiling panel is installed, the entire ambience blends will with a vast royal and sophisticated atmosphere to the guest once entered the lobby.

All areas at the hotel common area is carefully designed including the column treatment, doorways and entryways, and the washroom. Rounded feature is introduced at eight main pillars at the lobby, in walnut veneer finished, and a gold tint insert, lengthens the height and visual of the lobby. The space is lined up with clean linear designs, whether with walnut grains, natural stones, and the dominant majestic blend – Lapis Lazuli Blue and Gold Colour.
